* OPERATING INSTRUCTION

“Installation & Set-Up”

Setting up your Magic Globe aquarium is easy with following simple step by step instructions and procedures.  IMPORTANT: Take extra safety measures whenever handling electrical appliances near water or heat sources to avoid bodily injuries and accidents.

• Rinse the aquarium and place charcoal pack inside the base.
• Hold the aquarium over the base and connect the tube to the water pump.
• Gently place the globe onto the base and center the fountain outlet drain to the catch basin of the base.
• Add water by slowly pouring the water into the catch basin until reaching ½ inch from the top of the basin.  (For double fountain models please match the letters on the fountain outlet drain to the catch basin accordingly).
• Plug in the aquarium into power source and turn on the control switch.  The water in the base will now be pumped up into the globe (In case the pumping action does not start, pour some water into the globe from the drain outlet to help start off the pumping process).
• Separate the magnets of the magnetic air tube (Aqua Brush) and insert the tube into globe from the fountain outlet drain.  Use the separate magnet piece to catch the air tube from outside of the globe and bring it up to the top. 
• Add water to the catch basin and simultaneously pump the air out from the top of the globe.  Continue the process until the globe is completely filled with water.  For best results the air pump should stay above the water level of the globe during the pumping process.
• Insert the plant and fish (head first) into the globe from the fountain drain openings and secure the water outlet with strainer. Place sponge filter into the catch basin. 
• To remove water from the tank disconnect the magnetic air tube from the pump and attach the siphon hose.  Keep the pump below the water level during the pumping out process.

Special Notice: DO NOT exceed water level of ½ inch from the top of the catch basin at any time when adding water to the aquarium to prevent overflows.

“Tank Maintenance”

• Separate the magnets of the magnetic air tube (Aqua Brush) and insert the tube into globe from the outlet drain.  Use the separate magnet piece to catch the air tube from outside of and start cleaning
• To clean the fountain drain outlet. First, remove the strainer. Second, insert the bend brush stick to start cleaning.
• Never pull on the power cord connected to ceramic base to prevent water leakage and electrical hazards.
• Do not place the aquarium directly under the sunlight.
• Always use conditioned water when filling up the aquarium. Small bubbles might present inside the tank when adding water to the globe.  If this should happen simply use the magnetic tube brush to clear up the bubbles or the bubbles will clear up themselves after the fish is put in.  It is recommended to place 2-6 fish inside the aquarium depending on the size of the fish.
• Change charcoal pack and clean the filter sponge periodically to keep the water clean.
• Minimal food feeding is recommended to eliminate unconsumed food to pile up and pollute water quality. (See Fish Care instruction).
